The credentials behind the white vans, in plain words
Apollo is a Carrier Factory Authorized Dealer in Kennewick, holds an active Washington contractor licence and is a Sheet Metal Workers Local 55 union shop. Here is what each of those asks of us, and what it means when we are in your house.
Carrier Factory Authorized Dealer
Factory Authorized Dealers have to perform to rigorous national standards, consistently and continually, to qualify for factory endorsement. They also take part in extensive factory training on installing, maintaining and repairing the equipment.
Dealers send their sales representatives to Carrier University to learn to recommend comfort solutions that are energy-efficient, reliable, quiet and environmentally sound. They also keep to a long list of sound business practices: holding all required local licences, carrying appropriate insurance and liability coverage, and fulfilling warranty obligations in a timely manner.
Carrier President’s Award
Apollo’s own certifications page records the award for 2018 and 2019, and Apollo’s 2023 badge shows it again that year. It is an annual award presented to a select group of Carrier Factory Authorized Dealers who score highly on criteria Carrier sets each year.
The criteria are published in advance, and the points system levels the field among dealers of every size. A dealer has to reach the minimum score and comply with every Factory Authorized Dealer requirement to be eligible.
ENERGY STAR and PTCS
ENERGY STAR is a joint program of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy, built to help people save money and protect the environment through energy-efficient products and practices. Apollo offers certified ENERGY STAR and PTCS comfort, and its technicians are trained for it.
Washington contractor licence
Apollo Heating & A/C holds Washington L&I contractor licence APOLLHC867J1. The state register lists it as active. You can look any contractor up there before you let them into your home, and we encourage it.
Sheet Metal Workers Local 55
Apollo is a union shop and carries the Sheet Metal Workers Local Union 55 seal, the trade union for sheet metal and ductwork workers.
