HVAC service and maintenance plans
A Scheduled Planned Service Agreement puts your heating and air on the calendar before something fails. Apollo recommends one for new and existing home comfort systems in Kennewick, Pasco and Richland.
Chapter 01
Why a scheduled agreement
Apollo recommends a Scheduled Planned Service Agreement on a new or existing home comfort system. The reasoning is ordinary and sound. Heating and air conditioning should be serviced at least once a year, with the heating tuned up in the fall and the air conditioning in the spring, before heavy use begins. Oil-fired equipment should be cleaned and serviced every year.
Annual service means cleaning the system, checking for problems and potential problems, and adjusting it for peak efficiency. The benefits Apollo names are dependability, problems found and fixed early, a longer equipment life and safe operation. It also lowers the chance of a breakdown, which usually happens at night or on a weekend.
Apollo looks at the house as a whole, not one box: air tightness, ductwork tightness and the conditioned envelope of windows, doors and insulation. The company was incorporated in 1982, is a Carrier Factory Authorized Dealer, and offers certified ENERGY STAR and PTCS comfort.

What each visit checks
Apollo’s heating and cooling inspection covers eight items: Electrical Connections and Wiring Inspected and Tightened; Check Heating and Cooling Operation; Check Freon Levels; Inspect Mechanical Connections; Check Thermostat Operation; Inspect Bearings (if applicable); Inspect and Clean Indoor Coil; Oil Motors (if applicable).
Most of that list is about the parts that wear quietly. Loose electrical connections and tired bearings are common reasons a system will not start on the first hot day, and a dirty indoor coil makes a system work harder to move the same air. The items marked “if applicable” depend on the equipment, since bearings and oilable motors are on some units and not on others.
Whether it is your home, your place of business or an investment property, Apollo’s technicians service all brands and types of heating and air equipment, so the visit does not depend on who installed the system.
Chapter 03
What members get
Plan members get priority status for scheduling and discounts on repairs.
Members also get discounts on purchases and future replacement and increased warranty duration. Plan pricing varies by equipment, so call (509) 396-2653 and ask what a plan covers for your system.
Heather Fleming called Apollo to have someone look at her mom’s system and to ask about a maintenance plan. In her Google review she says Nick Tabor “went over everything with me, and made me feel heard” without the pressure of a sales pitch, and that her mom’s system is still under warranty, so she will reach back out when that is up.

Around the plan
What the visit keeps running
A plan visit is routine work for a system that Apollo may also be called to in the middle of the night. The 24 Hour Service line, (509) 396-2653, stays open seven days a week for Kennewick, Pasco and Richland, and these pages cover the equipment a plan looks after.
Home heating
Furnaces and heat pumps, and what the fall tune-up looks at.
Air conditioning
Central, heat pump and ductless cooling, tuned up in the spring.
Indoor air quality
Filtration and purification matched to the system and the household.
